Scribly

Terms of use

Draft โ€” last updated 28 October 2026

Short draft for the early-access period. It will be replaced by reviewed terms before paid plans go live.

The service

Scribly converts video and audio you upload into transcripts, speaker labels, searchable text and downloadable export files. The service is provided as-is during early access and may change or be interrupted.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us only the permission needed to store, process and serve it back to you โ€” nothing more. Do not upload material you do not have the right to process, or content that is unlawful.

Fair use

Processing runs on limited hardware. Automated abuse, resale of capacity, or attempts to disrupt the service may result in rate limits or account suspension.

Accuracy

Transcription is automatic and will contain mistakes, particularly with accents, overlapping speech and technical vocabulary. Check important passages before relying on a transcript as a record.

Availability and liability

No uptime guarantee is offered during early access. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Keep your own copy of any original recording you care about.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the product develops; material changes will be noted on this page with a new date.
