Draft — last updated 28 October 2026
This is a short, plain-language draft for the early-access period. It will be replaced by a reviewed policy before public launch.
Scribly runs on privately operated hardware. Your files stay on that server and its backups; they are not sent to a third-party transcription or AI service.
Files stay until you delete them. Deleting a video removes the media, its transcript, exports and share links. Backups roll off automatically within a few weeks. Free-tier accounts may be subject to an automatic retention window once paid plans launch; that limit will be stated clearly before it applies.
Share links are unlisted: anyone with a link can view that transcript and play the media. Revoking or deleting the link stops access immediately. We do not publish, index or resell your content.
No third-party analytics or advertising trackers are embedded in the app or on this site.
You can delete any video or your account at any time. To request an export or full deletion, email [email protected].
